Furthermore, as one of very few higher education institutions in Poland, besides degree programmes in Polish, we also provide degree programmes in English. Currently international students from 45 countries of Europe, Asia, Africa and America constitute 40% of all our students.
The University Authorities prioritize internationalization as a major part of their development strategy. For that reason the University has recently expanded international cooperation by establishing partnerships with new universities in Europe and Asia.
At the same time, within the Erasmus+ Programme, we were granted funding for student and staff mobility, not only within European Union countries, but also in Asia and Africa. We strongly believe that students’ participation in international exchange, which is provided for our students every year, will result in acquiring international experience, and will improve their career opportunities.
The University provides modern facilities, such as a lecture hall which can hold up to 200 people; a wide range of lecture rooms adapted to the needs of different courses such as physiotherapy, kinesiotherapy, beauty science, biomechanics, massage, chemistry, tourism, hotel industry, gastronomy, geography and IT; recreation rooms; library; cafeteria.
We can also boast the Academic Physiotherapy Centre, which is a modern clinic, recommended not only for VPU students, but also for the city citizens.
Our University has been developing rapidly and adapting quickly to the needs of the job market.
We are one of a few universities in Poland that have gained good reputation for teaching physiotherapists, which is underlined by the fact that we belong to The World Confederation for Physical Therapy (WCPT).
