12th GRADUATION CEREMONY AT ASHESI UNIVERSITY

"We don’t dwell on what we have been through; our struggle, the inequality, poverty or our broken environments. We are a group that carries the ambitions of scientists, engineers, business leaders, artists, teachers, entrepreneurs, and many others.
To everyone here today, the Class of 2016’s message to you is this; do not let your history determine your glory." - ‪#‎Ashesi2016‬ Class Speaker, Festus Emmanuel Jartu, gave a remarkable speech at this year's Commencement.

"I teach in many locations around the world and I find the EMBA students here to be well prepared and very curious which is very important and it shows that they have done a lot work in advance.
I find the quality of questions being asked and the quality of their attention to teaching in class very impressive, I’m convinced that this is a good cohort of students which compares favorably with the cohort of students we have in Lancaster University on an annual basis.
Generally my expression is very positive, very strong and so far I’m genuinely pleased with the experience I have had teaching these students" - David Murphy ( Lancaster University Management School)

The President of the Ghana Triathlon Federation, Mr.Bawah Fuseini, was invited by the Olympics Club and Community Engagement Office to engage students on the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
In the lecture Mr.Fuseini discussed the importance of a minimum of 30 minutes of exercise a day to avoid treatable diseases related to a sedentary lifestyle.
According to Mr.Fuseini 60% of 56 million people who died in the world last year died due to diseases related to inactivity. He emphasized that things like stress, hypertension, and obesity were easily preventable through exercise.
The Olympics Club in collaboration with the Community Engagement office threw this event as part of the ongoing promotions of health as a part of the ongoing “Love your environment” and to prepare people for Lancaster’s first Marathon in March.

Now in its fifth year, OneBeat is cultivating a groundbreaking international network of leading artistic, technological, and social innovators in music. An initiative of the U.S. State Department’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs in collaboration with the groundbreaking New York-based music organization Bang on a Can’s Found Sound Nation, OneBeat employs collaborative original music as a potent new form of cultural diplomacy.
OneBeat brings musicians (ages 19-35) from around the world to the U.S. for one month each fall to collaboratively write, produce, and perform original music, and develop strategies for arts-based social engagement. OneBeat begins with an opening residency, when Fellows collaborate to create original material, record new musical ideas, and incubate their projects. OneBeat fellows then go on tour, performing for a wide array of American audiences, collaborating with local musicians, and leading workshops with youth. In a closing residency, each OneBeat musician sets out their plans for the future, developing projects in their home countries linked to a mutually-reinforcing network of music-driven social enterprises.
OneBeat is a musical journey like no other. It is a chance for adventurous musicians from an incredible diversity of traditions to seek common ground, create new musical combinations, push the boundaries of music technology, and find ways to involve all members of society in the process of musical creativity. OneBeat endeavors to be the nexus of a new way of thinking about how music can help us collectively build healthy communities, prosperous societies, and a more peaceful world.

Past residencies have taken place at the Atlantic Center for the Arts in Florida and Montalvo Arts Center in the Bay Area.
Tour: After the residency, OneBeat hits the road for a two-week tour featuring performances, youth workshops, and public music-making events. STUDY IN POLAND

Poland is a fascinating, culturally rich and, above all, modern country that boasts an extraordinary history, tradition and heritage – but also education standards equal to any in Europe. Located at the geographical and cultural frontier of Eastern and Western Europe, Poland is the largest of the former East European states and with 38.6 million  inhabitants, it's the sixth most populous member of the European Union (with Germany its biggest trading partner). It is probably best known for its medieval architecture, World War II history, Jewish heritage, massive Diaspora – and hearty cuisine. But it is quickly acquiring a reputation as a highly attractive international student destination. The dramatically lower cost of living here compared to other EU states is among its key draws.

IELTS Not Required.

Key points for Poland ?

1. Easy admission procedure
2. Offer letter within 3 to 4 days
3. No ielts required
4. Course fees varies from 1600 to 2400 euros per semester
